Absences
All absences need to be explained either by phoning the school or in writing. If your child is going to be absent you need to ring the school before 9:00am to let us know. It is also important that you ring the bus driver (mobile - 025 690 2636) as well. If your child is going to be away for reasons other than sickness and you are able to give us prior notice it would be greatly appreciated.
Sick Pupils
All parents are asked to fill in a form giving Doctor's name and emergency contacts. If children become unwell at school, parents are notified by telephone, or if we are unable to contact them, the emergency number will be used.
Sick children are better at home, but no child will be sent home until an adult has been contacted. In the event of an accident requiring immediate attention, if we cannot contact parents, appropriate action will be taken (your doctor will be called etc.)
Money
Please enclose all money brought to school in a sealed envelope with the amount, purpose and the child's name clearly written on the envelope.
School Lunches
Children are able to heat lunches in the Pie warmer. Lollies are not to be brought to school by pupils and hot water will not be supplied for 2 minute noodles.
Fire / Earthquake Drills
These are held at regular intervals.
Religious Instruction
This is a half-hour, one day a week non-denominational session for the children taken by an instructor approved by the Board of Trustees. All children take part unless parents advise the school otherwise.
