Learning

We are proud of the way we learn at Otama School. Small class numbers mean that we can offer individual help to all our students and that they can move to learning spaces that suit their learning styles and tasks. 

The five key competencies in the New Zealand curriculum are very important to us;

• Thinking
• Relating to others
• Participating and contributing
• Using language, symbols and text.

We have these competencies at the heart of everything we do so that we can move our learning into the future to produce the leaders of tomorrow. 

Community

We're not the largest primary school in the country, but we're definitely in the big league as far as community spirit goes!

While our school may look like a 20th century school from the outside, it's all 21st century inside!
